House Tips for Winter

Winter is here and there are some tips that I have for getting your home ready for the cold weather coming.

Tip # 1

Get your heating system inspected before it is pushed to the limit during bad weather. You don’t want to be in the line of others needing repairs during bad weather.

Tip #  2

Reverse your ceiling fans to circulate the heat back down. Heat rises and you need the fans to work on pushing the heat down, not cooling off the room.

Tip # 3

Have some leaky windows that let the cold air in, but don’t want to pay for new windows just yet?

Use some clear packing tape and tape up the areas of the window, like the sides, that are letting the cold in.
